Den/Library/Mancave

This is a personal experiment to see how adding a few pictures to this blog would turn out. These are pictures showing the progress of the final phases of constructing my den.

This photo shows the unstained shelves and shelf supports. No unkind comments about the rocker please. Yes, I know it doesn't match the rug, but it belonged to my grandmother. Lots of memories.

These are shelves and outlet plates that have been stained and coated with polyurethane. The blue bits on the corners are painter's tape sticking out from the other side.

Here is a close-up of a finished bookcase.

It looks like this may turn out alright, so I may add a few shots of the finished product later (after I pick up a bit).

October 28
I have finally had time to take a couple pictures of the finished shelves. I have left room on a couple of them for two additional sets that I hope to acquire some day when I have a little money saved up.

The first set of shelves that I completed.

These books would seem disorganized, but I know where everything is. On a top shelf is a glass bottle with a wooden arrow through it which was given me by a friend. I still don't know how he made it. On the desk is a photo of my Dad that I took the last time we went hunting together. He passed away just over a year ago.
